I enjoyed Stargate so far, SG1, the direct-to-DVD movies, Atlantis etc. So I had high hopes for Universe. Now that the thing is running for a rather long time already, I can say: It’s .. well .. it’s not really what I expected. :-P First of all, what’s going on with all that “Beverly Hills [...]

SGU: Stargate Universe
It was too bad that SG Atlantis was cancelled. I got to really like the plot and the characters. But shortly after, we are now blessed with it’s “offspring” – which has not much to do with it’s parents, honestly. I like the change of direction they introduced with the new series. Before, every character [...]
StarTrek
Oh my, the new StarTrek Movie is really nice. It’s pretty much a break to all of the previous movies and it opens a wide area for new timelines and events. Already looking forward to the next one. :-) For those of you not into the whole StarTrek thing: This movie isn’t as “trekky” as [...]
Welcome PS3
Okay this is not really news, just giving a little heads up what was cooking in the past couple of weeks. I was actually offering myself a little luxury good: A PlayStation 3. I sold my Wii with all the stuff I got for it and was able to finance a PS3 this way. So [...]
sin city
the name is program: sin city really is full of sin and blasphemic action. i love it. :) it’s one of the best movies i’ve seen since a long time. can’t say anything more. except, if you haven’t seen it already.. well .. go now. :)
these were times ..
if you ever want to know why old people think that all this new stuff is too overblown and musicians don’t rely on their abilities of doing music but on their marketing .. this video will show you why: apache!
star wars: episode III
well .. what should i say. popcorn cinema. ’nuff said. :)
firefly
sometime in september next year there should be a movie coming up based on a tv series called “firefly”. turbo showed me the trailer and i’m quite excited after i got to watch all the 15 episodes of the series. kinda strange mix of science fiction and wild wild west scenario. imagine you’re cruising on [...]
the life aquatic
and just right for an after-sushi experience is that movie: “the life aquatic” featuring bill murray, owen wilson, cate blanchett, jeff goldblum and some others in a delicious movie from wes anderson. if you know jacques cousteau, you definately need to watch this one. team zissou kicks ass. reminds me of my company.. :)
lost
it’s been a long time (actually since “futurama” showed up on teevee) since i’ve been interested in a tv-series. i guess you already know this one. sorta “robinson crusoe meets x-files” kind of thing. nice to kill time with if you’re bored. but still, i’d prefer futurama.
gambling, gods and lsd
i watched the movie “gambling, gods and lsd” by peter mettler tonight on arte. it’s a documentary, made of the authors films, shot on his travels between 1997 and 1999. can’t really describe it in english, you almost have to watch it yourself. it has very much of atmosphere. a very philosophical approach, aswell. it’s [...]
