The iPhone pretty much changed my perception of mobile communication. Compared to all the mobile devices I used so far, the iPhone is far superior. I don’t need to be able to mod the OS – all I want is a smooth user experience and cool and useful little tools.
Gaming on the iPhone wasn’t really what I was looking for at first, but it became my primary “console”, so to speak, just after a couple of weeks. There is a fair amount of really nice, small puzzle games available, some of which introduce a rather interesting user-interface approach.
I’d like to quickly introduce you to my favourite games. I play those regularly, almost on a daily basis and they’re all quite addictive (that is, if you share my taste of gaming :-) ).
Zen Bound
Tower Bloxx 3D
Flight Control
Critter Crunch
Ah, I like those puzzle games. :-) Expect a follow up to this article.

Hmm, I knew from the newspaper that the iPhone is the new gaming console, but I never really looked into it except for the occasional free Sudoku on boring train rides. Didn’t know there are so many innovative games taking advantage in a non-classic way of the new controls.
Just hit the Appstore recently when I heard that Worms is available and I saw there’s also Doom for the iPhone. Looks like these programs are still optimised for OS 3.0, but I guess after that I’ll get them. =) Who would have thought in the good old days that we’re going to have those games on our cellphones? =)
Ha, guybrush threepwood is there, too. I think lucasarts might soon add some more classics. Sam&Max has been everything but dead. There are mini adventures on the steam store etc. Also, ea games is busy releasing ports. But the most interesting part is the indie games section. Like on steam, you don’t need to get contracted with a huge publisher to get exposure. I think there’s going to be one or two surprises. ;)
